Custom Terminology
Avikto lets you customize how core platform entities are labeled throughout your workspace. Changes apply everywhere — navigation, reports, emails, and notifications — so the platform speaks the language your team uses.
Terminology is managed under Settings → Organisation → Terminology.
Custom Terminology
The terminology table lists each platform entity with its default label. You can override both the singular and plural form independently.
| Platform Default | Singular Label | Plural Label |
|---|---|---|
| Project (Top-level workspace unit) | Project | Projects |
| Case (Individual work item) | Case | Cases |
| Queue (Workflow stage grouping) | Queue | Queues |
Edit the Singular label and Plural label fields for any entity you want to rename, then click Save changes.
How It Works
- Labels are replaced globally — every screen, sidebar item, report header, email notification, and exported document reflects your custom terms
- You can rename any subset of entities independently — for example, rename only "Case" to "Ticket" while keeping "Project" and "Queue" as-is
- The underlying data model is unchanged; only the display labels are affected
Resetting Labels
Click Reset to defaults to revert all terminology back to the original platform labels (Project, Case, Queue). This takes effect immediately across the workspace.
