Inquiry Forms

Forms are reusable, public-facing templates that capture structured information from customers or agents. Each published form gets a shareable URL that can be embedded on a website, sent via email, or shared directly.

Form Statuses

StatusDescription
PublishedLive and accessible via public URL
DraftBeing built; not yet published or accessible publicly
ArchivedDeactivated; hidden from active list but submission history is preserved

Published forms can be toggled active or inactive without archiving. An inactive published form shows an unavailable message to visitors.

Creating a Form

  1. Go to Inquiry → Forms
  2. Click New Form
  3. Enter a form name and description
  4. Add sections and fields using the form builder:
    • Field types: text, long text, dropdown, date, file upload, checkbox, and more
    • Mark fields as required or optional
    • Group related fields into sections
  5. Click Publish to make it live, or Save as Draft to continue later

Managing Published Forms

Copy Public URL

Click the copy link icon on any published form to get the public URL. Share it via email, embed it in a web page, or include it in outreach campaigns.

Preview

Click Preview to see exactly what submitters will see before sharing the link.

Toggle Active / Inactive

Use the active toggle on a published form to temporarily stop accepting new submissions without archiving the form.

Archive

Click Archive to move a form out of the active list. Archived forms retain all their submissions — they are not deleted.

Delete

Deleting a form permanently removes it and requires confirmation. Consider archiving instead if you may need the form or its data later.

CAPTCHA Validation

Inquiry forms support CAPTCHA validation to prevent spam submissions. When enabled, submitters must complete a CAPTCHA challenge before the form can be submitted.

Versioning

Editing a live (published) form creates a new version automatically. In-progress submissions continue using the previous version, preventing disruption for submitters partway through.

Best Practices

  • Create one form per inquiry type (e.g., Support Request, Quote Request, Feedback)
  • Use required fields sparingly — too many required fields increase abandonment
  • Preview before sharing publicly
  • Archive instead of deleting to preserve submission history
