Linking Cases

Create Relationships between related cases. Link duplicate cases, parent-child relationships, or cases that reference each other.

Linking Cases​

  1. Open case
  2. Go to Linked Cases section
  3. Click Link Case
  4. Select case and relationship type
  5. Save

Relationship Types​

  • Duplicate Of — This case is a duplicate
  • Related To — Connected but separate
  • Blocked By — Waiting for another case
  • Blocks — This case blocks another
  • Parent/Child — Hierarchical relationship
  • Split From — Originated from another case
  • View all linked cases
  • Change relationship type
  • Remove links
  • Quick access to related cases

Usage Examples​

  • Bug fixed, mark as duplicate
  • Feature request spawns implementation cases
  • One case blocks another's progress
  • Multiple related customer issues
