Dashboards
A Dashboard is a collection of reports arranged together in a single, interactive view. Dashboards let you monitor multiple metrics side by side — by team, project, queue, or any business dimension you care about — without jumping between individual reports.
Dashboards in Avikto are fully flexible. Charts can be freely resized, repositioned, and rearranged to build the exact layout you need.
Creating a Dashboard
There are two ways to create a new dashboard:
- New Dashboard — Opens a blank canvas where you configure everything manually
- Create with AI — Describe what you want to track in plain language and the AI generates a starting dashboard with relevant reports pre-configured
Both paths produce a fully editable dashboard.
Adding Reports to a Dashboard
Once inside a dashboard, click Add Reports (or the + icon) to open the reports panel on the right side of the screen. From here:
Predefined Reports
The Predefined tab lists system-provided reports that are ready to use. These cover common use cases like:
- Cases by Assignee
- Cases by Queue
- Total Cases (gauge)
- Cases by Project
Click Add next to any predefined report to place it on your dashboard instantly.
Your Own Reports
The Created by me tab lists all reports you have built. Browse or use the Search reports bar to find a specific one, then click Add to place it on the dashboard.
Creating a Fresh Report
If none of the existing reports fit your need, click Create from within the Add Reports panel to open the full report builder without leaving the dashboard. The new report is automatically added to the dashboard once saved.
A dashboard can hold as many reports as you need. Reports already on the dashboard show an Added badge so you can see at a glance what is already placed.
Arranging the Dashboard
Drag and Drop
Every report card on the dashboard can be freely dragged to any position. Click and hold the drag handle (the dots icon at the top-left of a card) and drop it where you want it — the other cards shift to accommodate.
Resizing Charts
Each report card has a resize handle at the bottom-right corner. Drag it to make the card larger or smaller. You can give prominence to the metrics that matter most and compact less important ones into smaller tiles — arranging the dashboard exactly as you need it.
Removing a Report
Click the delete icon (trash icon) on a report card to remove it from the dashboard. This only removes it from this dashboard — the report itself is not deleted and remains available to add elsewhere.
Dashboard-Level Filters
Use the Filters button at the top of the dashboard to apply conditions that affect all reports on the page at once. This lets you scope an entire dashboard to a specific:
- Project
- Queue
- Assignee
- Case Type
- Date range
- Or any custom field
Individual reports can override the dashboard-level filter independently if needed — so you can keep most reports scoped to the dashboard filter while one report shows org-wide data.
Date Range
The date range selector at the top right of the dashboard sets the default time window for all reports. Available presets include Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, and a custom range picker. Reports that have their own date range set will use their own setting.
Real-Time Refresh
Each dashboard can auto-refresh its data on a schedule. Available intervals:
| Interval | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Off | Manual refresh only — default |
| 30 seconds | Live operations monitoring |
| 1 minute | Near-real-time team queues |
| 5 minutes | Regular updates during a workday |
| 15 minutes | Periodic snapshots |
| 30 minutes | Lightweight background updates |
| 1 hour | Long-running KPI boards |
Set the interval from the dashboard settings menu (three-dot icon at top right).
Dashboard Features
Visibility and Sharing
- Private — Only you can see the dashboard
- Organization — All members of your organization can view it
- Shared with specific users — Grant access to named teammates with Can View or Can Edit permissions
Use the Share action from the dashboard menu to manage access. Revoking access removes the dashboard from that user's Shared with me tab.
Favourites
Star a dashboard to pin it to the Favourites tab on the Analytics landing page for one-click access.
Search
Use the search bar on the Analytics page to find any dashboard by name across all tabs.
Unsaved Changes
When you make layout changes (repositioning or resizing cards, adding or removing reports), the dashboard shows an Unsaved changes badge in the header. Click Save to persist the layout, or Cancel to discard changes and revert to the last saved state.
Create with AI
The Create with AI button is available both when creating a new dashboard and from within an existing one. Use it to:
- Generate a complete dashboard from a prompt (e.g., "Show me case distribution by team and priority for this month")
- Add AI-generated reports to an existing dashboard without leaving the page
AI-generated dashboards and reports are fully editable — use them as a starting point and refine as needed.
